Lenovo K860 Official Jelly Bean 4.2.2 update


 LENOVO K860 OFFICIAL JELLY BEAN 4.2.2 ROM

THIS WILL BE THE LAST OFFICIAL UPDATE WHICH IS PROVIDED TO CHINESE COUNTERPART 

Please note this is an official ROM it will not void your warranty but, if you failed to follow the steps given in this blog.

- Lennovo power, lenovo music, lenovo music apps added
- Camera UI optimized
- Sound images options added
- Gallery updated
- Wifi hotspot fixed

This ROM supports OTA by Chinese counterpart of Lenovo 

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE


1. Download the Zip file from the link above

2. Unzip the file from your PC and move it to a new folder 

3. Rename the folder as   sdfuse

4. Copy the folder to root of your External SD card

5. Insert you SD card into phone and switch off the phone

6. Now press Power ON + Volume Up + Volume Down keys till the boot menu appears on the screen

7. Select to menu SD update by pressing Power On button

8. Now the Phone will do its work it will consume lots of your battery it will take 5 -7 min to complete the procedure 

9. Once all the procedure is done you will see the LENOVO LOGO  will till phone starts 

10. The phone begins with Chinese language so go to settings in language & input select English

11. Sign In into your GOOGLE ACCOUNTS

 * IF THE PHONE GETS STUCK IN LENOVO LOGO JUST REINSERT THE BATTERY
* TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK IF YOU FAIL TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS WE ARE NOT LIABLE TO DAMAGE CAUSED

SCREEN SHOTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS POINT MAY BE YOU CAN PROVIDE US WHEN YOUR ARE DONE
THIS UPDATE WILL WORK FINE FOR ALL INDIAN, PHILIPPINES, INDONESIAN, SAARC, VIETNAM, COUNTRIES AS IT IS OPTIMIZED TO WORK SPECIALLY FOR THESE COUNTRIES. OTHER ASIAN COUNTRIES WILL WORK FINE BUT NOT TESTED

      Update works fine but took a lot of time and efforts to root and install gapps.

      Is this included gapps, ussd and location fix? If it isn't yet, please give me the link of working gapps ussd location fix for this 4.2.2_807 please.
      Searching everywhere but cant find one.

    Am I supposed to unzip the file after adding the extension .zip to it and then place it in /sdfuse?
    Or place it in /sdfuse as is?
    With the second method I'm getting an error saying file format...bootloader in red letters (with some other stuff). (tried with 4.2.2 as well as 4.1.2)

    You need to use single .szb file inside 'sdfuse' folder.

    For adb updates, you need to keep the update zip file as it is.

    The file has "SZB" extension. How can I unzip the file?

    If you have downloaded as szb file no need to unzip if you download as zip file then needed to unzip

    If its szb file just move it into new folder remane it as sdfuse and copy your memory card, boot in recovery and update

    its just worthless upgrading my Lenovo k860 into its official jellybean version .. its has bug called "Memory Leak" .. I can't even play any games at all because of insufficient RAM .. I got my RAM 0.00mb free after 3hrs of using it .. its a big mistake that I upgraded it ..
